Exit Switches are button or touch-sense devices installed beside doors as an alternative, easier and simpler mean of unlocking and exiting than regular key-turn based locks. Upon pressure they simply disconnect an electric (usually electromagnetic) locking device, such as Magnet Locks, thus instantly unlocking the door. Exit Switches are designed to provide a reliable means of egress in commercial and industrial facilities. A vandal resistant model is available for abusive environments.

Scheider Locksmith is a leading security advisor and provider of switches in the New York City area.
